On February 28, 2026, 1.5 million cancelled their ChatGPT subscriptions.
This means 1.5 million people and primed and ready to hire Claude.
New AI capabilities will now be coming from being able to integrate AI with the tools you're already using. "AI in everything."
Custom applications allow you to think about the problems you'd like help solving, and then give you the ability to design your own solutions to solve them.
The team behind Claude recognized early on what ChatGPT was missing.
They invested heavily in making Claude integrate with the applications business professionals were using every day, (like GDrive).
Claude is smarter. Claude is more connected, and Claude is more capable of taking action.
Claude is more suited to being a part of your entire workload, not just a tab you open when you have a question or need to write something.
How Claude Desktop gives you more integration capabilities than the browser
Upload your .csv files and watch Claude draw insights, identify trends, and display it all in a visually captivating dashboard
How to connect software you already use, so Claude works inside your existing stack
How to build your own Skills, making Claude a custom AI built around your specific needs
See how to build your own web apps, turning you into a designer and developer capable of bringing your own ideas to life.
Claude's Chrome plug-in lets Claude search pages and perform actions in your browser, on your behalf.
My favourite combination to activate voice-to-text, allowing you to talk to AI freely, and removing the frictions associated with typing (and typos)
Consider this a professional breakup story.
Vicky hired ChatGPT. Then spent 18 months helping other professionals do the same thing. She took pride every time someone upgraded from free to paid, because she genuinely saw the potential ChatGPT could offer the overworked professional.
But ChatGPT was really just a chatbot, and had so many limitations. She kept getting asked, "Can ChatGPT do ____?" And she would have to keep saying, "No… Not yet."
She believed these necessary features that professionals were in desperate need of were just around the corner. In the next model upgrade. Or the one after that…
She kept waiting.
And over the last six months, she realized that these features were not coming. So it became time to leave.
She has since fully moved over all her AI training from ChatGPT to Claude, and hasn't looked back.
